Grade 310S, also known as UNS S31008, is a low-carbon variant of grade 310. It is commonly used in applications with high temperatures, but the material cannot be exposed to intergranular corrosion. The lower carbon content of 310S makes it less prone to carbide precipitation, a form of corrosion that can occur in high-temperature applications.
AISI 310S bars are essential in many industries and have been used for years. This type of steel is a low-carbon alloy containing 18-20% chromium and 10-14% nickel with very small amounts of molybdenum and titanium. There are many benefits to using this type of steel, including its durability, corrosion resistance, and nonmagnetic properties.
