Cobalt Alloy Coil Strip Foil Manufacturing Process

Melting:

The raw materials used to produce a cobalt alloy bar, such as cobalt, chromium, and other alloying elements, are melted in a furnace. The furnace is typically an induction furnace or an electric arc furnace, which can reach temperatures of up to 1700°C.

Forging:

The casting is then heated to a high temperature and placed in a forging press. The press applies pressure to the casting, which reshapes it into the desired shape and size. This process can improve the mechanical properties of the material by aligning the grain structure and reducing porosity.

Casting:

Once the materials are melted, the molten metal is poured into a mold to form a casting. The casting is allowed to cool and solidify before it is removed from the mold.

The final step in the production process involves finishing the cobalt alloy bar. This can include machining, grinding, and polishing to achieve the final dimensions and surface finish required for the intended application.
