Tantalum tungsten Alloy plate a tantalum alloy plate formed by adding a certain amount of tungsten element. In Tantalum-tungsten Alloy Sheet, the binary alloy composed of tantalum and tungsten is infinite solid solution. The strength of the alloy increases with the increase of the tungsten content, but the ductility of the recrystallized alloy decreases significantly when the tungsten content exceeds 12%-14% (atomic fraction). These tantalum alloys not only maintain the low temperature plasticity of pure tantalum, but also have high strength and oxidation resistance. Tantalum-tungsten Alloy Sheet is used in aerospace industry and chemical industry as high temperature structural material and corrosion resistant material.

The corrosion resistance of tantalum-tungsten alloy is better than pure tantalum. Ta2.5W can be used as the corrosion protection component of heat exchange equipment in chemical industry, pipe and lining, anti-corrosion of instrument and instrument, crucible of rare earth smelting, etc. The addition of 2.5 % to 10 % tungsten to tantalum increases the strength of the material, and the alloying of tungsten to tantalum forms an alternative continuous solid solution that still maintains the body-centered cubic crystal structure of tantalum, while also maintaining the easy processing properties of tantalum. Tantalum alloys that are currently widely used in industry include Ta-2.5W, TaW10, TaW12, and Ta-7.5W.
