Material Properties and Corrosion Resistance Advantages
Dual resistance to oxidizing and reducing environments: Exhibits excellent resistance to both oxidizing and reducing chemicals, providing ideal protection in complex process streams where these conditions alternate.
Superior localized corrosion resistance: Offers outstanding resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking, performing exceptionally well in environments containing chloride ions.
Resistance to specific strong oxidizing media: One of the few materials capable of withstanding corrosion from wet chlorine gas, hypochlorites, and chlorine dioxide solutions.
Excellent welding characteristics: Resists the formation of grain-boundary precipitates in the heat-affected zone, making it suitable for most chemical processing applications in the as-welded condition.
