Haynes 244 alloy sheet is a nickel-molybdenum-chromium alloy that is resistant to high temperatures and has low thermal expansion. It exhibits strong age-hardening capabilities and offers excellent oxidation resistance and low-cycle fatigue properties. A similar material is Haynes 242 alloy.

Haynes 244 alloy sheet is typically annealed in the 2000-2100°F (1093-1149°C) range, depending on your specific requirements. Air cooling is often required before aging to prevent internal overheating and cracking of the stock. Lork Group Manufacturing reminds you that water quenching thick sections should be a last resort.
The aging process for Haynes 244 alloy plate is as follows:
A 16-hour soak at 1400°F (760°C) is required, followed by furnace cooling to 1200°F (649°C) and a 32-hour soak, followed by air cooling.
