Products Description
Lork Group high-quality Inconel 625 also known as Alloy 625 (UNS N06625/W.Nr. 2.4856) is composed primarily of nickel, with significant additions of chromium and molybdenum, is a corrosion and heat-resistant Nickel-based alloy. These alloying elements contribute to its outstanding resistance to a wide range of corrosive environments, including seawater, acids, and alkalis. It exhibits excellent resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and intergranular attack, making it suitable for applications in aggressive chemical environments.
Alloy 625 is nonmagnetic, and corrosion and oxidation-resistant, with service temperatures ranging from cryogenic to 1800°F. Because of its alloy matrix, precipitation hardening treatments are not required. This alloy is generally double-melted, with either EF-AOD melt (Electric Furnace followed by Argon Oxygen Decarburization) or VIM (Vacuum Induction Melt); and with a second melt by either VAR (Vacuum Arc Remelt), or ESR (Electroslag Reduction).
