MP159 Cobalt Alloy Pipe (UNS R30159)
Lork Group is a leading supplier and exporter of MP159 (UNS R30159) pipes and tubes. MP159 Alloy is a nickel-cobalt-based alloy with characteristics similar to MP35N alloy. It offers excellent strength and ductility at temperatures up to 1100–1200°F (593–649°C), along with resistance to stress corrosion, crevice corrosion, and hydrogen embrittlement.
Through work hardening and ageing, MP159 cobalt alloy pipe achieves ultimate tensile strength levels exceeding 265,000 psi while maintaining a reduction of area greater than 30%. Its exceptional strength and ductility are retained even at elevated temperatures up to 1100–1200°F (593–649°C).
The alloy is produced via vacuum induction melting, followed by VAC-ARC remelting, ensuring precise chemical control and optimal ingot solidification.
