Lork Group high-quality Hastelloy C276 (UNS N10276 / W.Nr. 2.4819) is a solution-annealed nickel-molybdenum-chromium alloy with the addition of tungsten.
Thanks to its high nickel content, alloy C276 is immune to chloride-induced stress corrosion cracking. The high molybdenum and chromium contents allows the alloy to perform in oxidising, non-oxidising and mixed acids media, whilst also exhibiting outstanding resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion attack. The addition of tungsten inhibits the development of pits.
Because of this, C276 is the most universal corrosion-resistant material available today, making it perfect for use in a wide range of harsh environments.
Hastelloy C276 is widely used in applications involving sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, phosphoric acid, acetic acid, and other aggressive chemicals. It is also suitable for use in environments containing oxidizing salts and seawater. The alloy's resistance to stress corrosion cracking, pitting, and crevice corrosion makes it a preferred material for critical components in various industries.
