Vacoflux 50 alloy is an iron-cobalt-vanadium alloy with high magnetic saturation and high mechanical strength. Vacoflux 50 has the highest magnetic saturation of all soft magnetic alloys (24 Kg or 2.4 T) while having a low coercivity of 0.4 Oe or 32 A/m, making it easily demagnetized. The alloy is melted using vacuum induction melting (VIM) technology.

Vacoflux 50 Manufacturing Process and Challenges

Magnetic final annealing
To achieve the required high magnetic and mechanical properties, Vacoflux 50 requires a final heat treatment ("magnetic final annealing"). Only during this final annealing process can the grains in the material grow, thereby improving the magnetic characteristics. This is a demanding process for manufacturing control. The Lork Group has precise parameters for manufacturing this material and has successful customer references.
