Nimonic 75 Nickel Alloy (UNS N06075)
Nimonic 75 (UNS N06075) is a nickel-chromium-based, solid-solution strengthened superalloy and is one of the earliest developed and most widely used alloys in the Nimonic series. It derives its strength at moderate to high temperatures through carbide dispersion strengthening and solid-solution strengthening; it is not amenable to age hardening.
Alloy 75 exhibits excellent oxidation and scaling resistance at temperatures up to 1050°C, along with good cold and hot formability, stamping characteristics, and weldability. It complies with standards such as BS HR5, BS HR203, and ASTM B546. It is widely used in applications including gas turbine combustion chambers, industrial furnace components, heat treatment fixtures, and nuclear engineering.
