Haynes 25 alloy bars (UNS R30605) are also resistant to sulfidation and metal galling, have outstanding thermal strength and oxidation resistance up to 2000'F Temperatures between 1900°F and 2300°F are suggested for hot forming. However, for bending, spinning, and drawing processes, alloy L605, which has better cold-working qualities, is preferred.

Machining and Welding
Alloy 25 alloy has good forming and welding capabilities, may be forged or hot worked by heating it to 22200°F(1205 °C) and repeating the process until the entire temperature achieves the appropriate temperature. The alloy is also ductile, allowing for cold working. Complex forming procedures, on the other hand, may necessitate multiple intermediate amealinetreatments because of the quick work-hardening characteristic of the material.
To re-establish the best balance of characteristics, any hot or cold-worked components must be annealed and rapidly cooled. Welding can be done manually or automatically using techniques such as gas tungsten arc(GTAW, gas metal arc (GMAW), shielded metal arc, electron beam, and resistance welding. The alloy also has favorable properties for restraint welding.
