Products Description

Lork Group high-quality Hastelloy C4 (UNS N06455/W.Nr. 2.4610) is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy known for its exceptional resistance to a wide range of corrosive environments, particularly in reducing conditions. This alloy offers high levels of resistance to stress corrosion cracking, pitting, and crevice corrosion, making it suitable for use in aggressive chemical processing environments.

The key elements in Hastelloy C4, including nickel, chromium, and molybdenum, contribute to its outstanding corrosion resistance properties. The high chromium content provides resistance to oxidizing media, while the molybdenum enhances its resistance to reducing environments. Additionally, the low carbon content in Hastelloy C4 minimizes carbide precipitation during welding, ensuring the material's corrosion resistance in the welded condition.

Hastelloy C4 is commonly used in applications involving hot, contaminated mineral acids, organic and inorganic chloride-contaminated media, and reducing environments. It finds extensive use in chemical processing, particularly in the production of chlorinated solvents, reprocessing of nuclear fuels, and in the pharmaceutical and petrochemical industries. Its resistance to corrosion and ability to withstand high-temperature and high-pressure conditions make it a valuable material for critical process equipment such as reactors, heat exchangers, and piping systems.

The alloy's excellent fabricability allows for easy forming, welding, and machining, further enhancing its versatility in various industrial applications. Its reliability and resistance to corrosion make it a preferred choice for critical components in aggressive chemical environments.
