Products Description
Lork Group high-quality Nitronic 30 (UNS S20400) is a nitrogen-strengthened stainless steel alloy which was initially developed to offer superior corrosion resistance in aqueous and atmospheric atmospheres. Nitronic 30 is a combination of corrosion resistance, strength and wet abrasion resistance.
Nitronic 30 is known as abrasion-resistant steel and is still used today in high wear applications such as coal buckets, hoppers and magnetic ore separator screens. Combined with good overall toughness, the alloy provides an economical solution in a broad range of applications. Nitronic 30 offers numerous benefits - the material is significantly stronger than 304 stainless steel (up to 50% higher yield).

Nitronic 30 is highly impact-resistant, which makes it ideal for a range of heavy duty applications. Already proven to be the endurance leader in coal handling equipment and prep plants, Nitronic 30 will last up to twice as long as its nearest competitor.
Selecting the best material for the job goes well beyond the initial price of the material. The maintenance, downtime and replacement costs associated with poor material performance can wreak havoc with production time and budget. Nitronic 30 was engineered with these realities in mind.
Nitronic 30 Applications
Nitronic 30 is commonly used in hose clamps, sewage plant structures, fasteners, handling equipment for bulk solids and structural components in transportation equipment.
