Five Research Directions

 

Theory of Metal Material

Mainly studies the basic theories of atomic arrangement, crystal structure and phase transition of metal materials, providing theoretical support for the research and development of new materials.

 

Preparation Technology of Metal Material

Involve the melting, casting, rolling, welding and other processes of metal materials, aiming at exploring more efficient and environmentally friendly preparation methods.

 

Properties and Modification of Metal Material

Study the mechanical, physical, chemical and other properties of metal materials, and explore to improve the performance of metal materials through alloying, heat treatment, surface treatment and other methods.

 

Corrosion and Protection of Metal Materials

Mainly studies the corrosion behavior and protective measures of metal materials in various environments, and provides technical support for petroleum, chemical, marine and other fields.

 

Combination of Metal Materials and Advanced Technologies

Such as metal matrix composite, metal functional materials, metal biomaterials, etc., combining metal materials with emerging technologies to meet various special needs.

 

In 2023, Lork Metal Materials Research Institute was included in the supplier list of the School of Materials Science and Engineering of Tsinghua University, successfully providing raw materials supply for Tsinghua students to explore cutting-edge materials.
